Refine your fiddle skills to an intermediate level, exploring a diverse range of tunes and honing essential techniques for seamless performance in sessions. With a focus on ornamentation, fingering, and bowing strategies, you'll enhance your efficiency, fluidity, and confidence on the instrument. Join us as we expand your repertoire and prepare you to join musical gatherings with skill and ease.
Students should have a fair degree of proficiency with their instrument, familiarity with different types of tunes, and the ability to play several tunes comfortably. Together, we will learn 6-8 new tunes, covering reels, jigs, slip jigs, hornpipes, slow airs, and more, with a focus on repertoire that is widely played in sessions to prepare students to get out and play with others!
We will explore ornamentation, fingering, and bowing strategies to help play with the greatest degree of efficiency, fluidity, and confidence.
Notes:
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
In order to receive a refund or credit, you must submit a refund/credit request in writing to [email protected].
Refunds and credits will be issued along the following guidelines:
Please allow three to four weeks for processing of your refund request. Processing fees are not refundable. No cash refunds.
We are not responsible for providing makeup classes or issuing refunds for programs missed as a result of illness, emergencies or other events beyond our control.
There are no refunds for workshops unless request is received 11 business days before the event date. Unused classes cannot be refunded, rescheduled or credited to another term.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
