William Couig & Erin S Daily

Teaches at The Jewish Museum

William Couig is an artist and designer based out of New York City. He was introduced to glass after seeing a number of demonstrations in various locales as he backpacked around the world after college. Upon returning to New York, he developed his skills at UrbanGlass and a number of other studios in the metropolitan area. He has spent the past 15 years fabricating work for himself and a select clientele. With his company, furthurdesign, he’s become a continued presence in the New York design landscape completing a wide variety of commercial projects while also developing ongoing lines for clients like Eleven Madison Park, The Nomad Hotel and Calvin Klein Home.

Erin S. Daily is a metalsmith who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally, and her jewelry can be found in galleries and boutiques throughout the country. In addition to making, Erin co-owns and operates Brooklyn Metal Works, a collaborative metalsmithing studio, exhibition space, and concept lab. At BKMW Erin continues to pursue her love of teaching and her fascination with new ways to develop the ideas and practices of metalsmithing. Erin received her MFA in Metal from SUNY New Paltz, and her BFA in Metal from the University of Kansas.
