Museum Hack is a band of overly-enthusiastic, renegade museum tour guides. We lead adventures in New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles. Our small-group experiences key on passionate storytelling, juicy gossip, and little-known oddities. It'll be the best 2 hours you've ever had in a museum.
For People Who Don’t Like Museums
Museum Hack tours focus on the incredible works hidden in deep dark corners. Our renegade tour guides will tell stories to keep you engaged in awesomely unconventional ways.
We Hacked It
Our un-highlights tour puts an alternative spin on the museum, featuring other sides to the highlights we love, as well as some of the strangest, wildest, sexiest stories hidden throughout the museum. Each Museum Hack tour is customized based on the audience. Because we have small groups, the guides can modify the agenda based on your experience.
We promise you will have an active, fun, engaging session. 110% satisfaction guaranteed.
Note: Museum Hack tours are for adults only. Minimum age is 18. Attendees under 18 will not be allowed to attend and may be turned away.
Our tourguide, Kris, was personable, funny, energetic, and perceptive. We enjoyed his "curriculum" to the max and appreciate how he devised the un-tour stories and games so that we would playfully interact with the works he chose, and our attention never flagged. We learned gross, saucy, and gruesome details that are un-forgettable. Our afternoon at the Getty was un-surpassed!
The tour guide was lively, entertaining, and engaged. However, she walked to quickly for some of the older members of our group. Also, her speech was sprinkled with F… ING and other curse words which was completely unsuitable for the situation.
Different, refreshing, unexpected. Would have liked a little more technical info. but would definately recommend Museum Hack to friends.
Very entertaining !
Vic was fabulous!! Loved the tour!
Love LOVED this tour. Our guides Sara and Anna were funny, engaging, and so knowledgeable. I'd visited the Met many times over the years but enjoyed works I had never seen before thanks to this inventive and inspiring tour. My 17-year-old niece and I so enjoyed it that we are sending other family members to take the tour to experience as well! Highly recommend.
The class was fun and informative. Nice afternoon at the Met.
It was a wonderful tour. Ali made it interesting all the while learning a lot. She is a great teacher and it was a lot of fun. Hope to do another tour:) Karen Parks
It was filled with gratuitous profanity which i think is totally inappropriate at the met museum. there were children around us. and it took 20 minutes to get to the first work of art. awful experience
