Thomas McLaughlin was born and raised in the countryside of Upstate New York; so plants always played a big part of his life. However he prefers the busier, more social city life much more and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. Thomas is a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology where he studies textile/surface design. When not at school, he enjoys working for Paint Nite and Plant Nite where he gets to meet new faces, have fun and plant the night away!

I contacted the instructor twice and never got a response back. On the night of the course we were unable to “enter” the class and we contacted Course horse and did not get a reply.

Doing this paint nite (day) was a great way to break up the usual routine during quarantine. Tom was great! He went slow so everyone could have adequate time to stay on track with each other but not too slow where it was boring. I never thought mine painting would come out as good as it did and I'm so happy with it! If we stay in quarantine throughout the summer, I will definitely do a private party.

Tom and Cassandra were great! It was such a fun experience, building a succulent terrarium step by step. Will definitely look to take another course soon!
